Using the Hop fast bridge
Hop is the quickest way to send your tokens to Optimistic Ethereum!
Hop.exchange is a General Token Bridge that enables users to send tokens from one network to another almost immediately without having to deal with challenge periods or withdrawal delays.
Hop is the fastest way to send tokens to Optimistic Ethereum and use Rubicon! You can also use Hop to pay a fee and skip the one-week withdrawal delay on Optimistic Ethereum, with the ability to transfer between different scaling solutions, rather than going back to Ethereum L1.
Below you will see a short video demo from the Hop team and a longer step-by-step guide from our team on how to send USDC from Polygon to Optimism in seconds. 🤯

Step-by-Step Guide: How to use Hop

To begin, head over to the Hop app and choose which token you are sending and which networks you are sending the tokens between. In this tutorial, we are sending USDC from Polygon to Optimism. Hop currently supports sending USDC, USDT, and Matic with more tokens coming soon. Current networks that Hop supports are Ethereum mainnet, Polygon, Optimism, and xDai with more networks being added soon!
Choose your token and networks using the dropdown menus
Now it is time to select how the number of tokens you are sending from one network to another. We are sending all of our USDC on Polygon to Optimism, so we used the "Max" button.
Hop will take a second to calculate you how much you will receive...
Hop will show you its best estimate on the amount of tokens you receive
If this estimated received amount looks right, you can go ahead and click "Send".
Click Send to confirm the balance you are sending!
You will need to confirm this transaction in your wallet. Once you confirm the transaction, it only takes about 5 minutes for you to receive the funds on the destination network. Importantly, the incoming transfer will not show up in your MetaMask wallet transaction history, so you just have to sit tight while the funds are on the way.
